Not every pallet is worth the same. Here's what pays best — and what still has value even when it's tired.
The single most valuable core is the standard 48×40 GMA pallet in reusable condition — it's the currency of the pallet world. But mixed loads, larger footprints and even broken pallets have value through our recycling line, so don't sort or trash anything before you call.

What makes a pallet pay
You don't need to sort or repair anything — that's our job. But knowing what we look for helps you understand the price:
- Standard footprint — 48×40 GMA and other common sizes move fastest and pay most.
- Repairable or better — a cracked deck board or loose nail is fine; we fix it. Full stringer breaks head to recycling.
- Dry and reasonably clean — not soaked, moldy or contaminated with chemicals.
- Reasonable volume — even small counts work; larger and recurring loads earn better per-pallet pricing.

For recurring sellers we set up a standing route and a regular payment arrangement so every load is priced and paid the same way. How do I get a price for my pallets?

What kind of pallets pay the most?
Reusable 48×40 GMA pallets in A or B grade pay top dollar because they go straight back into circulation. Repairable GMA, other standard sizes and mixed loads still have value, and broken pallets get free removal through recycling.
Do I have to sort or repair them first?
No. Leave them as they are. We do the sorting and repairs at the yard — trying to sort them yourself usually costs you more time than it's worth.
How and when do I get paid?

Is there a minimum count?

What disqualifies a core — and what doesn't
You never need to sort or repair anything; we do that at the yard. But it helps to know the line between “we'll fix it” and “that one goes to recycling.”
Still pays
- Cracked or missing deck boards
- Loose or popped nails
- Cosmetic wear, stains, minor marks
- Standard footprints in any grade
- Dry pallets that have seen weather
Disqualifies a core
- Full stringer breaks (heads to recycling)
- Soaked, moldy or rotted wood
- Chemical or hazardous contamination
- Fire or heavy insect damage
- Non-wood or heavily mixed debris
Even the disqualified pallets have a home — they leave your dock through free removal and get recycled, never landfilled. So there's never a reason to pre-sort or trash anything.

The retail back room
A grocery store stacks 60–90 mixed empties a week. We set a standing route, pay for the clean GMA, and recycle the rest — one photo started it.

Selling — more questions
What makes one load pay more than another?
Grade mix and footprint. A load heavy on clean, reusable 48×40 GMA pays the most because those cores resell in days. Repairable and standard-size pallets still earn; broken ones convert to free recycling removal.
What if my load is mostly broken?
It still leaves your dock. Broken pallets have no resale value but they're recyclable timber — we haul them free and grind or remanufacture them instead of landfilling. Mixed loads with some good cores can still net you a payment.
How does a recurring sell arrangement work?
We set a standing route on your cadence, price and pay each load the same way, and confirm terms up front. Every pickup is counted and paid at the dock, and it all shows in your Second-Life Ledger.
Do you pick up, or do I deliver?
We come to you. Our crew and truck handle the pickup during yard hours — no loading, sorting or hauling on your end. You can also drop cores at will-call if that's easier.
