New lumber is uniform. Reclaimed pallet wood is alive — sun-silvered edges, nail-shadow patina, grain that spent a working life moving freight across the Southwest. When we plane and finish it, that history becomes the design. No two boards match, which is exactly the point.
And it's the most honest kind of sustainable. Instead of milling a fresh tree for a coffee table, we're giving a second life to wood that already did its job — the last, best link in the loop that runs our whole recycling operation. Can I commission a custom piece?
Absolutely — custom commissions are most of what we make. Send a photo, sketch, dimensions or a reference image through the form, and we'll come back with a design direction, an illustrative price, and a timeline. Everything is built from reclaimed pallet lumber sorted for character and soundness.
Is reclaimed pallet wood safe for furniture and food surfaces?
We only build from clean, dry, heat-treated (HT-stamped) pallet stock — never chemically treated wood — and every board is de-nailed, planed and sanded. For bar and counter surfaces we finish with food-safe sealers. If a piece will contact food, tell us and we'll spec the finish accordingly.
How much does an upcycled piece cost?
It's quoted per commission because size, complexity, finish and hardware vary so much — a rustic planter is worlds apart from a live-edge bar top. We give a clear, illustrative price before any work starts, so there are no surprises. Request a quote with your idea to get a real number.
Do you do wedding and event décor?
Yes — arches, signage, bars, backdrops, seating and table pieces are a favorite. Give us the theme, date and dimensions, and we'll build reclaimed-wood décor with genuine character. Ask early; event calendars fill up.
Can businesses order retail fixtures in a matched set?
Definitely. We build displays, shelving, counters and signage as coordinated sets so your storefront reads as one designed system rather than a pile of pallets. Share your brand look and space, and we'll design to it.

HT wood only — never chemically treated
What goes into a piece matters as much as how it's built. We source only heat-treated (HT-stamped) pallet lumber — wood treated with heat alone to kill pests. We never build from the old MB (methyl-bromide)fumigated stock, because that's a chemical treatment we won't bring into your home, café or event.

How long does a commission take?
It depends on the piece — a planter or sign is quick, while a live-edge bar top or a matched retail fixture set takes longer because of joinery, finishing and cure time. We give you a firm timeline with the quote, before any work starts. For events and weddings, ask early: dated jobs book out and finishing can't be rushed.
Why does it matter whether the wood is HT or MB stamped?
Everything we build starts from heat-treated (HT) pallet stock, never chemically fumigated wood. The old MB stamp meant methyl-bromide fumigation — a chemical treatment we won't use for furniture or anything indoors. HT wood is treated with heat alone, so it's clean to plane, sand and finish. Can you finish a piece for outdoor Tucson conditions?
Yes. Patio planters, benches and event pieces get exterior-grade sealing to handle sun and monsoon, and we can advise on placement to extend their life. Reclaimed pallet wood already spent a working life outdoors, so with the right finish it wears beautifully rather than failing.
Do you sell any ready-made pieces, or is everything custom?
The heart of what we do is custom commissions, so each piece suits your space and use. From time to time we build ready-made planters, signage and small furniture — ask what's on hand. If you want something specific, a commission is the surest way to get exactly the size, wood character and finish you have in mind.
